There are three plans that a person can choose from in my area. One of which is for the northern part of the state, so now there's two but it's really the same company. There's the high option and a low option and then theres the HMO. All for the same company.

There is never a time when a government employee has not had to pay a premium for their health insurance. Now the U.S. P.S (Post Office) is different. Their premiums and the run of the mill Fed. Gov. Employee...

Okay, I was not going to get involved in this, but if I don't I won't have anything to talk about with you guys, as you seem keen on this topic.

I know the NHS get's a lot of stick BUT it is a good service and it ensures that everyone gets treatment, unless the treatment required is VERY expensive, and even then you can request financial help if your eligible! I think it is a fair system and a lot of people have gained a great deal from this service. I don't know...

I know that Federal employees have to pay for their own insurance. I, every three months, make my payment to the one plan that active duty, and retirees, are under.

I'm with Comma on the everyone should have basic healthcare from birth. Health is damn well nothing to be bargained off!

How many people without insurance do buy brand clothes, unnescesary snacks and gadgets/electronics? that shouldn't be a priority over your health :-s But it's easy to forget that if you're healthy.. when you get sick it's too late.

It's cheating and stealing if you get a healthinsurance because you need one, you have to have one...

Please DO NOT confuse Government Workers with Members of Congress!!!!!!! Congress has a health plan that is far far far more generous than any Federal Government Workers plan could ever be!!!!! In addition they have access to so many FREE medical perks that it would blow your mind. These perks are available to BOTH sides of the political fence, as well as those that sit on the fence. Members of Congress can seek medical treatment at Walter Reed Hospital. They have an on staff physician. Free...

Health Reform:

What we really need in this country:

1. Tort reform- Cap torts, limit lawyer fees to 10% of any awards, and put into place a court just to rule if a case is worthy of going forward. As it stands now, thirty percent of medical test ordered are only requested because the medical personnel are trying to cover themselves in case of a law suit.
2. Carry with health care insurance. If you lose your job, you are still covered, under your old health...

It is looking good on the house moving front! Richard and I may soon be renting together, in order to get somewhere that will allow me to bring Sazki with me! With the two of us, we should be able to get a decent place much closer to uni, possibly even in the same area as my university, if we look hard enough! Hopefully I'll be out of here soon!

For some insane reason Insurance Companies in the US are just so obsessed with keeping the status quo with regards to administrative excesses. I'd rather that my doctor be free to treat me rather than be weighed down with so much paperwork. If you saw what the salaries are of these administration executives....well. But these bozos really don't want their feed bag messed with.

We have a aw stating that health insurance is mandatory for every citizen and that any healthcare insurance has to accept anyone for the basic insurance, which covers all treatments that are needed for protecting (the quality of) lives.

Everyone on earth should be able to get these basic treatments no matter who they are, where they come from or how rich/poor they are. Don't know the details on healthcare reform *looks ashamed* but I do know something is wrong when people die...

Nor can we afford to ignore a problem that even Richard Nixon when he was in office wanted to address. Neither side of the fence is looking at this in a realistic, logical and straightforward way. But then we are talking about Congress. No matter who's in office, no matter what the majority they just come down with a case of stupid.

The health care bill, that the House passed yesterday, does very little and costs a lot. It also does not offer insurance to over half of those not covered now. One side, of our two political parties, wants to pass a health care bill so bad, that they will pass almost anything that shows up in front of them. We cannot afford what congress wants to spend. The Senate should have more common sense.

My concern with the health coverage issue is the rampant and I do mean rampant idiotic administrative costs that just knock the whole medical coverage into the stratosphere. Admin costs and paperwork are just insane. Each and every insurance company insists on having their very own forms to fill out. Well these things can be standardized. If my company is FORCED TO DO THIS by John Q. Public, congress and every cost cutting nit wit out there, then the insurance companies can and SHOULD do...

Just read some tweets that public healthcare is one step closer to happening in America. Way cool, this'll make the existing insurances more fair and competetive. Hopefully EVERYONE will be able to get the care they need soon and no one will die over wealth-ditribution-issues anymore.

Ok, up-date....

I thought it was going to be the 1-on-1 interview but.....group skills test. Simple. No doubt about passing it and finished in record time.
Then, the dreaded "Application". 7 pages long and took me almost an hour to finish. Attached my resume and other info that was requested to the application and handed it in to the HR coordinator.
Will be notified of individual interviews but don't know the time frame.

Just popping in to see if Wolfie has updated us on the job front. I'm keeping my fingers, toes, eyes, ears etc crossed that she gets this job. My Dad has been very sick and I've been working with my sisters to help take care of him.

So far this has worked out, however......as with all families there may be trouble a brewin' Stay tuned for details as they unfold...film at a 11.(maybe).
