Spoilers from the preview of Touched
Looks like this episode is going to be a lot of coupling (and some of it probably won't go too well with some people). Wood and Faith seems like a pretty natural pairing. I have a feeling this will probably be the last respite before the big war begins. It's the last RRK written episode *sniffle* so I'm expecting good stuff. Are there really only 3 left? 'Yes...this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... this land.' 'I think we should call it your grave!' 'Ah! Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!' 'Hahaha! Mine is an evil laugh!'

I really have no need to see anything with any pair in a raunch way. There's no time to waste here, plus no one is in a romantic relationship right now, so whatever happens is either going to be out of pity, in the heat of the moment, a reminder of last season, or a combination of the above. And I have no interest in seeing any of that.

LW,
I won't be watching this ep just like I skipped "The Killer in Me." Gilmore Girls is so much more outstanding now. It has gotten a lot easier to skip Buffy episodes now, and I haven't missed a thing. I can't believe how much I used to love and defend this show. *Sigh* Tara: My heart doesn't stutter.
Tara: Willow, I got so lost. Willow: I found you. I will always find you. Tara: Nobody messes with MY girl! Willow(About Tara): We should have been forever. |

Yeah, I'm not hapy with the whole bonk-a-thon either. As you say, LW, in story terms there is no time for trivialities. The writers may argue that its the old "we might not survive so let's do it just in case" cliche but that's what it is, a cliche.
As for W/K, I say categorically that if Willow thought that she may not survive, that she may get to see Tara, she would never demean herself by sleeping with Kennedy. I'm gonna vent when this episode airs so I'll be silent just now TO BE CONTINUED>>>>>>> |

Guess I'm in the minority then....I'm actually looking forward to next week's episode. It's funny how previews for the following week's episode of any show somehow ends up being not exactly what you think......

Can't say that I'm looking forward to this episode either...Sorry, but I'm not sure how I will be able to handle seeing Willow and Kennedy in bed together. That relationship still doesn't sit right with me...have not accepted it at all. Frankly, I'd rather see Oz back in Sunnydale and by Willow's side than Kennedy (stupid, I know, but I'm being honest here). Of course it has a lot to do with missing Tara and the love that she and Willow shared. I'm sure I'm not alone on this when I say that Willow isn't the same person we're used to watching...not the same woman at all. I'll leave it at that for now, seeing as though I'll have a lot more to say about the subject after seeing the episode (gulp).
As for the others...Faith and Wood do have chemistry going on, but I don't see that being anymore than a spur of the moment type of thing which I bet they will both regret once the deed is done. I felt bad for Buffy last episode, really did. And I'm glad knowing that Spike will be there for her. He'll continue fighting alongside the Slayer, and despite their history together, I'm sure Buffy will be counting on him to be there. So if they end up in each other's arms next week, kudos... Xander and Anya should have been back together already in my opinion...I just hope it's not as awkward as it was last time around. Who knows? Maybe I'll just read the spoilers and not watch the episode at all...we'll see. Helen xoxo |

I'm not bothered by any of the pairings except for Faith and Wood. And that only because Wood was interested in Buffy at one time. Why can't Faith end up with someone who's not a Buffy leftover?
I don't understand the need for an episode of boinking when there's only 3 eps left. They have plenty of loose ends to tie up, this might be a wasted episode. Did someone mention sweeps? |

It took them 3 years to finally let Faith be a full-fledged slayer in and of itself. It's not suprising she is still forced to linger in some of Buffy's shadow.

Glad to know I'm not the only one not looking forward to this ep. Well, not "glad", really.
I may instead watch the Alternate Episode in My Head, which consists mainly of Giles ruminating over seven years, the First, and his role as Watcher, mainly through conversations with (single) Willow, Faith, and Dawn. Special guest appearances by Ethan and Amy, who magically restores Xander's eye. It'll be good. I may even eat some imaginary popcorn. |

Well hey, am I the first?
S P O I L E R EP DISCUSSION BEGINS BELOW I actually really liked this ep - the first thing that grabbed me was the camerawork on the first scene, working to illustrate the confusion and disorder - excellent! There was some lovely camerawork on Andrew and Spike as well, especially the high wide angle stuff. All the bonking did work for me - mainly because I saw it as an illustration not of how all those couples were at it, but how one couple wasn't, serving to demonstrate how Spike and Buffy have moved on from what they were, and how perhaps their relationship has changed and deepend. Now, how many of us reckon the axe will turn Buffy evil? |

The first scene of this ep conveyed what I pretty much expected after a Buffy-less leadership: chaos and confusion. I think the best part about this episode, actually two parts...Spike telling off everyone in the kitchen and Spike's scene with Buffy. I was touched when he said "I love you, not because I want you. I love who you are." Or something along those lines. That part was the best.
As for the sexfest going on in the Summers' House. One word: BLECH...if that even is a word. Seriously, what purpose does Principal Wood (should I even call him that anymore?) serve anymore? Any ideas? Faith behaved just as I thought she would. Xander and Anya need to get over themselves and start to rebuild their relationship. But I'm not sure if wild sex on the kitchen floor is the step in the right direction. And here we come to Willow and Kennedy...I'll save all the ranting and raving about how much I utterly loathe this relationship, if you can call it that. The reason I say this is...GRRRR...Well,am I totally out of line by raising this issue about how unfair and insulting it is that Willow and Kennedy get to have a love scene after meeting and getting together after what? A couple of weeks? Willow and Tara were together for almost 3 years...and the closest thing to a love scene they had was Tara's final episode. Am I the only one that had that thought at all? I hope not. Thank God for the Willow and Tara stories the fans write. One, that's how we keep Tara alive, and two, the stories give the W/T relationship the justice and realism it deserves that was not given on the show. Sigh... Helen xoxo |

Re: Blech | ||

No Helen you are not alone. I too was not happy with the W/K scene, for the very reasons you mentioned. Tara and Willow were together for years, K is with Willow for far less and they are given this opportunity for intimacy. Sorry I'm not cool with that.
I did like Faith basically telling K to shut up, with Giles and Willow chimming in. |

*runs into the room whooping it up with raised fists in the air*
YYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Faith..you ROCK for telling off Kennedy! OKay, off to finish the ep so I can post decent stuff. =-=-=-=edited to add=-=-=-= On the whole issue with Kennedy/Willow and Tara/Willow: there was really no romantic scene with T/W so soon because for 1) the Wb would not allow for any type of visible act of caring between the two and 2) this is the last season for Willow. Where would the logic be in having her be in mourning for the rest of the season? She deserves to get some just like everyone else. Yes some people don't like it and don't agree with ther person that she does it with (I don't personally care for her), but the fact remains that there would be no point in her NOT having a good relationship during the last few hours Buffy's on TV. I guess, all I'm saying is that, if you (as in a gneral you) have a problem with the Willow/Kennedy scene and want to argue it, make it a legit argument: like you don't agree with the choice of person they put her with or something like that. Don't make it just because "oh, it's not Tara". Cuz reality check, as great as that relationship was, it's over. Willow has a right to move on. And my last final note: it's not really such as short a time span as people make it out to be, I mean it's TV time moves faster than it does for us (and that was a big duh). OKay, that's my deal. I'm not out to argue or defend my case, I'm just giving up my opinion. On the episode. Huh. Lotsa skank. ~ "I played a lesbian on a TV show and they didn't even refer to us as being lesbians...we were 'friends' doing 'magic together'. All I gotta say is I float her boat." ~ Amber Benson
Im known as the fat lesbian chick on Buffy. Of course; I mean you stand me next to an actress like Sarah and I look like Ill eat her. *beat* Wait, that didnt sound right. But, you know what I mean. ~Amber Benson |
