JM is a truly gifted actor and it was great to see this storyline with William and his mother.

That little gizmo giles brought back was pretty nifty.

Oh yes, and let us not bypass the best part of this episode : we only had to tolerate kennedy for about 1 minute. Hallelujah!

woods blah blahing about the first using spike and saying its not his time. Oh yeah like telling wood that spike is the one who killed his mother was just unselfish friendly advice and that it in no way was going to lend aid to the firsts agenda? *sigh* dont ppl think? At least he was right about some of the things he said. And he wasnt willing to kill the man who fought beside him and possibly saved his life but he wanted, even needed the monster. I agree though that wood needed to be put in his place so to speak. Theres no room for this vengence stuff. Cant he just make a wish to a demon like everyone else?

Giles: he was behaving like a parent with a child who has made repeatedly mindless decisions. Spike is a vampire (evil demon) and a sickening excuse for a man. He is a distraction and a liability to the mission giles was trying to protect his girl and the world. Im sorry he had tried do it through manipulation and deception though. Would you want your daughter with someone like this? So, I dont like it yet I understand it I guess.

I am thoroughly disgusted by spike and buffy.

Spike: taking that coat was truly sickening. This just goes to prove that his lack of remorse, he has in little way really been redeemed and that in him, a soul is meaningless. spike didnt kill wood. Why? On account of him being the murderer of woods mother NOT because it would have been wrong. He just HAD to have that coat , didnt he?

Buffy: I am so saddened by what buffy has become. A major quality that set her apart was that every individual life was important. In the past shes tried to save everyone no matter what the odds or the cost. She is now willing to kill humans or willingly let them die. She can no longer be a true heroic figure in my eyes. Killing affects the killer (did we learn nothing from faith? From angel?). she is willing to shut out giles for trying to kill spike while she said she would willingly kill or allow an innocent to be killed herself. I understand spike is a valuable asset only insofar as the fighting goes. Ok thats not wholly true as He will also blindly follow without argument or question where buffy leads. But a far better and more valuable warrior is coming

And finally on spuffy (yeah if you havent yet begin throwing your rocks now would be a good time!) :

For joss to allow buffys heart to go to spike in the end, to (in the words of joss) a relationship that is nothing less than abusive. To a person who has berated her, attacked her, stalked her, repeatedly lied and manipulated her, tried to rape her, and oh yeahmurder her, would be the ultimate disservice to one of the reasons I thought this show was created and would serve as a twisted slap in the face for what I believed it had accomplished in its seven year run.

and joseph (i am not sure what name to call you, what do you prefer?) i actually really like/enjoy spike as a character. i agree also that he has done some wonderful things to the benefit of buffy and the scoobies. i just would really be dissapointed if they ended up together for the reasons stated above.
