If the last few weeks have been "whoa," this week is an expletive I'm not going to try to slip past EZboard preceded by an adjective denoting some sort of sacredness. As one would expect, big cliffhangery bits from Mutant Enemy to leave us agonized throughout the X-Mas season.
Randomy bits:
-Good Cop/Bad Cop was excellent. For that matter Willow's "she-witch" threats were great as well. Andrew is such a simpering wimp that watching him take all this abuse is just funnier than it should be. Looks like he lucked out on being bled to death.
-Big ups to everyone who speculated on the music as a trigger issue last week. They definitely went Manchurian Candiate with Spike and you have to figure he's gonna be more than a little pissed if he survives.
-The Buffy/Spike scene really didn't work for me. It seems like about every 3-4 weeks we get a big B/S scene that would apparently define how their relationship is meant to exist, only to have it redefined without much changing. Her reasoning is believable enough, even if it's pretty flawed IMO. Even Spike was able to see through her perceived noble motivation. This might have come up before, and it didn't really seem to here, but maybe it's a matter of Buffy hoping that she can save just one vampire of find goodness in him.
-Dawn kicking more butt. Cool to see.
-What is up with the Principal?!? I'm bummed if he's a bad guy.
-What is up with that guy Jilez or whatever his name is? Cliffhanger much?
-As soon as the Head Watcher started rallying the forces I both cringed and laughed. That was one of those moments where it's not really a good thing that they get blown to bits, but you have to appreciate the irony of their self-importance.
It's going to be a long month.....
