I'm just so excited to have a new episode that I needed to post something!! Only a half hour to go and I'm totally ansty.......woooooo-hooooooo! Amber's birthday and a new Buffy episode AND I found $11 in my jeans today! I am a very happy chica! Until the episode airs then.......... ML

Just saw the episode and while I haven't really processed it to make a decent post, there are a few things that I wanted to get down: * * * * * SPACE IN CASE YOU HIT UPON THIS NEW EP. DISCUSSION ACCIDENTALY * * * * * I loves me some Naked Spike!! James makes me just clench my jaw when he's on screen because the man is beautiful. Yummmmmmyyyyyyy!!! I liked Buffy calling Willow's supply "Magic Weed". That was funny. I really wanted to just give Willow a hug. I know she brought all of this on herself but still, it's our Willow. Aly just breaks my heart when she has that sad face on. And Dawn. Joss has to be leading up to something big with her. I feel a huge build-up with all this crap she keeps going through. Poor girl. Isn't it bad enough she's really a big green ball of light? There's so much more but I just can't think right now. I'm still riding the high of "New Buffy Episode" mixed with the giddiness of "2 Hour Buffy Next Week". * * * * * * * * I've said it before......and I'll say it again. Buffy ROCKS! Joss ROCKS! A few comments s p o i l e r s I am really glad Willow is trying so hard to stay off of the magick. She relies on her hacker skills and pure genious to help Buffy. I hope we will see some W/T goodness soon. Why does n't Buffy get Tara to do a disinvite on Spike? He is returning to his stalker ways. This b/s nonsense is getting very old, and I hope it is over soon. I do not think I can stomach it. Warren is really starting to creep me out. He is far worse than the other two. He was going to kill Buffy if Willow had not noticed the setting on the shrink ray was wrong. e n d s p o i l e r s Tara: My heart doesn't stutter.Tara: Willow, I got so lost.Willow: I found you. It's like what? And they're doin it again next week. Buffy on the weekends? At least it's only one new episode. And there are more to come. The freakin Pistons preempt the show at least 6 more times. It was late, and I didn't have time to really form comments on the show. It's now 7am and I have to hurry and get ready for class at 9. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I enjoyed the episode. I thought it was funny and touching. I'm still not so cool on the whole B/S stuff, but overall I like this episde. Okay....I'm off to get ready for class. I'll try to write more this afternoon. It was more lighthearted and I was happy to not have to sit through another scene of Willow being manipulated by that rack person. Likes: 1) Buffy's new hair 2) Seeing more than 5 seconds of Xander 3) It's kind of sad, but watching Willow try to be Willow again. 4) Buffy wreaking havoc on the Social Worker and humming "Going though the motions" as she leaves. 5) Spike kicking Buffy out. Dislikes: 1) No Tara 2) Seeing Anya for only 5 seconds 3) Dawn (I know she's pissed, but come on is she 15 or 10?) So I guess the good outweighs the bad. Just a few of my thoughts while I just keep praying for Tara's return and some good make-up smoochies. Renthead Forever...I hope

Since everything I say usually ends up being a repeat of everyone else's comments, I'll just say this: SO impressed with James' acting. Do you know how hard it would be to do a sex scene with no partner?? And then reacting to the invisible Buffy, that was awesome. I liked the nudy shots, too Must say, he's gotten kind of skinny, a few of my friends actually speculate that he's on crack, which I VERY highly doubt. James is awesome. OH, and I have a question for TheRose: Do you hate James as well as Spike or is it just the character you don't like? I really can't stand Angel, but I do like David Boreanez. Okay, there's my two cents ~Ani... that's pronounced "AH-nee", not "Annie" :O) +so what if i like both kinds?+

Posts: 518 (01/09/02 21:07:08) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Sorry if anyone has read this already at the Kitty board. 1) a missing Tara - i waited patiently for Amber's name to be in the guest credits and displayed childish tantrums when it didn't appear... i missed her! oh Amber, our Amber, where art thou? two thumbs down. 2) Willow's temptation to use magic... twice - the book and the internet. of course, change is always hard. she can't get magic off her veins just like that. the road to recovery will happen slowly but surely. one thumb down for her wanting to use it, and one thumb up coz no magic was ever used. 3) Buffy's new 'do - totally cool. it's not bad. in the new People mag, the article there said it's a step toward maturity, or did it say "a sign of maturity?" (well, something to that effect.) two thumbs up. 4) rebellious Dawn - she is starting to show signs of rebelliousness by being all avoidy toward Buffy and Willow and coming home late. i don't blame her, after all that's happened. no wonder Social Services tried to butt in. poor Dawn. "does anybody even notice? does anybody even care?" two thumbs down. 5) Anya's wedding plans - i liked that part when she wanted to invite D'Hoffryn @ the wedding coz he's her ex-boss. go Anya for yet another witty remark and then some! two thumbs up. 6) Buffy and Willow's first steps - yay for them eventho' their 'yay-ness' had no enthusiasm whatsover. oh well, atleast they're trying. two thumbs up. 7) Xander's 'cry wolf' - and Willow gets the blame all the time. well, it does happen. people do tend to blame other people w/o asking first if they ever did it or not. it's a psych thing and everybody does it. yeah, you can even ask Prof. Walsh, oh yeah, can't... heh.heh. so there. two thumbs down. P.S. Spike's exercises - no comment. P.P.S. Two thumbs up for: A) Muldery or was it Mulderish? - cool reference to X-files B) the diamond - Illuminata - does that remind you of Tomb Raider? well it did for me. Over all thumbs - it's one thumb down, and one thumb up, w/c means - it was an average, 50-50, mediocre, etc. episode (imho)... sowwwee, but it's not an ep that deserves a second viewing... well, i did like Willow's sweater. peace Willow and Tara's Room

Sigh. I'll post a longer ramble about the episode when I get a chance. Xander and Anya had more than one scene this week - hurrah. But here's the loveliness: Willow online; Willow Nancy Drew-ing it; Willow and Xander, multiple one on one scenes - I nearly passed out from the Happy Willow Times. I have enough issues with Buffy and Spike to choke a Gachnar. But I'll rant about that later. I too think he is a little thin right now but to each his own as long as he's healthy..... loved that Willow didn't just turn three idiots into jello when they grabbed her......I wonder if she would have used to save them....Buffy was kind of dying, right? Isn't that an acceptable time for a little magic? I thought her eyes were going to go black when they grabbed her..... Interesting....overall.....she was drinking water the whole time? No Tara? Not even in credits....? UH OH!

Glad to see willow doing doing the computer thing and not the magick thing. Buffy's hair. I like it. Happy that Willow didn't use magick to get away from Warren and the others. A couple of favorite lines in this episode: "Yea to you and me their just candles but to witches thier like bongs" "Ohh oh its not a gay thing. You know well she's gay but we dont gay, not that theres anything wrong with that ..." "... it's not what it looks like, its magick weed" These 3 lines just cracked me up

Also, I don't think Willow's problem is with magick itself, but with her own lack of self-esteem. It's good to see that Willow is trying to change her behavior. Loved the comic relief of this episode. Loved Buffy's new 'do! People tell me I'm overanalyzing Willow and her consumption of water (see posts at JossBtVS and WPWP), but it was a group of possibilities that just happened to come to mind. I suppose I'd need to cite and explicate examples from this and previous episodes, and also interweave feminist psychoanalytic theory to support my argument and lend it credibility ... hey! A paper topic! I might just do it for fun. Goddess, I truly am a professional nerd!!! I write papers and do research for fun!!! Help!!! My karma ran over your dogma. These golden locks were really getting on my nerves the last few eps g A new Buffy is born through the arts of a local hairdresser. Now that looks really like a new beginning. Pretty nice first steps for both, Willow and Buffy. I really liked this epsiode, it was quite refreshing after all this darkness and unhappiness, that happend to all of the Scoobies. and hm, quite a lot of undressed Spike. I had to think about another Hermann Hesse book, for those who love "Steppenwolf" I strongly recommend "Narcissus and Goldmund" for further reading . Anyway, isn't it interesting how Spike, as a dead person is exposing more and more of his body, while Buffy, as a somehow living person, is "loosing" it due to invisibility? That's quite interesting, and yeah, I was looking for Amber in the opening credits too ~GL
