OK, this is something me and Leeky have been talking about doing for a couple of weeks now, and after being given two thumbs-up by LW, I thought I'd put it to you guys to see what you think.
Basically, I was thinking about offering free amberholics.com (or maybe essencians.com) email addresses to people. I can offer either redirection to an existing email address, or POP / IMAP support and a web-based frontend (similar to Hotmail).
I'm not really able to offer an infinite number of addresses, so it'll be on a first-come, first-served basis. But basically I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in this, and which domain people would prefer (amberholics.com or essencians.com).
I *might* be able to sort out hosting for a couple of people as well (free of course), but for the minute it'll just be email. My current plan is to configure transparent redirection for www.amberholics.com to LW's site, and if I do hosting it'll be a subdomain, like essencian.amberholics.com/~username/ .
So, any thoughts?
