Le sigh; if only I were back at PSU in grad school and they would approve my thesis research trip to "Haavaad" (they didn't in 1978, one reason
myr esearch was so narrow and inadequate) and to have some extra minutes....

It's good to see Amber slowly but surely building up some momentum. Would be easy for her to do something excessive in an attempt to earn easy fame but
Amber it seems has decided that when it comes to her own work integrity is more important than a fast buck or fame, and that is not only welcome, its
inspirational.

Pandemonium is definitely the best description for this event! Caught the bus into Boston, bus got stuck in traffic. Of course Friday night at the bus
station is prime time for all sorts of action. We had an Amberholicmobile breakdown...alternator (Ugh!). Two Amberholics stranded, I'm stranded at the bus
station. Trying to contact a friend of mine. She's at the cardiologist. Things are getting real freaky at the bus station (pan handlers, gang bangers and
um working gals). There's nothing that I can do to help stranded Amberholics, because I do not have wheels to work with to help them out. Not liking that
one bit at all! Finally got a hold of my friend, she's going to come pick me up at the bus station. She can't find her keys....finally does.

Here's a nice piece on her signing:
![]() The basement of Central Square's Pandemonium Books was packed this past weekend when Amber Benson stopped by for a book signing. You
may remember the 32-year-old Benson as Tara on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." These days, the actress writes comic tales and fantasy books. Her latest
release is a paperback called "Death's Daughter."
Benson told us she's still in touch with the Buffy crew, including hometown gal Eliza Dushku. Turns out, the friends met long before "Buffy" when they were both in "Bye Bye Love," the 1995 divorce movie starring Paul Reiser and directed by Newton's own Sam Weisman. "She's super smart," Benson said, of Dushku. "And she's generous. She doesn't just give money, she gives time." Two of the "Buffy" fans on the long line for a Benson autograph were Rebecca and Mary Moore, 18-year-old twins from Pepperell. "I related to her a lot," Rebecca said, of Benson's character on "Buffy." "She was very relatable for people who don't fit in." |

Yes it certainly was packed. I can attest to this. I think if I were to set up an event for Amber, Chris and Tom, I would definitely put it in a bigger
venue...for the sake of safety. While I was happy that it was packed, it was a bit hard to get comfortable in the packed environment. With only one way in and
one way out of the basement, if a fire broke out there would have been a huge problem. Add to that all the shelving and products that lined these shelves, it
would have made it hard to get out.
Of course if I did plan such an event, I would make sure...no... I would set up guaranteed transportation for two certain Amberholics to and from the event. I got to chat with Chris, told him that he really needs to create a sequel to his book "The Boys are Back In Town" and Amber about some stuff that I work on for Amber on her behalf. Unfortunately I didn't get to chat with Tom who is an awesome writer and I enjoy reading his creations. |

Maybe you should do so. I think you would make a great planner and I think the event would be well received and it sounds like AMber would be a more than happy
guest.
Something to think about
