As for birth, I've only ever been in the room when it happened and it was pretty intense. I can't wait to see Amber's portrayal of a pregnant woman.

Wasn't the tv show Smallwood based on a similar premise? (Maybe, since the movie was based on a real life story, perhaps the exact same premise)

Simple Things, as a title, exemplified what the message of the film was and the new title obfuscates it more than necessary.

Okay, I have finally gotten a chance to see this film. The reason I have gotten to see it is because I know own a multi-region DVD player which meant I could
watch this film (being in the UK I couldn't prior to this).
Put very simply, in keeping with the film's theme, I like this movie very much. It tells a straightforward story by emphasising character and the drama of those characters and allowing the actors to give those characters life. All the actors are excellent in it and Amber carries her few scenes with genuine weight and is an excellent addition to her resume. In short, the film is emotional and uplifting without ever resorting to sickening sentimentality and as such, is far better than most "Sunday afternoon weepies" we get flooded with. A film I would heartily recommend to anyone and everyone.

I got my copy on ebay but Amazon.com has copies as does amazon.co.uk and I'm sure a lot of online shops and websites for DVD stores will help you locate
copies.
