Just hoped over to IMDB and noticed Ms. Benson has a new film listed...a horror film no less! Anyone have any details on her latest big screen endeavor?

Okay let's wait until we get clarity on this?
Did anyone else notice that her rating as gone up 10%. That was pretty cool! |

I did notice..that was what sent me to IMDB to being with.
My guess is more likely the title is to tie it in to a 60's horror flick with a similar title. |

It went up a little early for that, but still, IMDB isn't the most credible source in the world.

never heard the term before (is it anything related to, or maybe opposite to, Chuck Berry's -or was it Bill Haley's- one-eyed cat?) but I don't really want to think overmuch on this.
Altho I'd imagine (if this is real - I've often thought about trying ot invent a totaly fictitious mvoie and trying to get it listed on imdb) such a title might appeal to Amber 's sense of humor. |

Small World Department: One-Eyed Monster is co-written and directed by Adam Fields, who is also a film and television composer, among whose credits include "Some Assembly Required" from the second season of BtVS. Also co-starring is Jeff Denton, who played a vampire in "Lessons," and had a bit role on AtS during S3.
And does anyone have any idea whether this is another film for the SciFi Channel? It has that vibe to it, no? |

Okay, so this is listed as a "Horror/Comedy" on IMDb. Which leaves the question: What kind of horror/comedy are we talking about here?
Are we talking about an outright spoof like "Scary Movie"? If it is, then it will no doubt have a big audience, because for some strange reason mean-spirited spoofs seem to be the rage right now, but something tells me it won't be something that anyone will want to mention on their resume for long after. Will it be an affectionate tongue in cheek homage, like "Tremors"? Now that could be fun! What I am hoping for of course, is that it will be a sophisticated horror/comedy like "Fright Night". Now if its in that category, then this could be a lot of fun. I look forward to finding out though. Tara & Willow Together Forever!!! Blessed Be Eternally!!!

If we're talking horror-comedies, the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world is "An American Werewolf in London."
Rick Baker deservedly won the first Oscar for make-up as no one, not even BTVS, has ever matched David Naughton's werewolf transformation scene to the tune of "Blue Moon." The other one that is a close second is the Nathan Filion slug filled film "Slither." Those types of macabre yet twistedly funny reflecting just how both physically and psychologically unprepared we are to deal with alien phenomenon are the types where Amber shines and is allowed to indulge her naughty side. |

Yes, "American Werewolf In London" is a true classic. I have not yet seen "Slither".
What worries me is that this will be another "Date Movie" (a truly terrible and mean spirited film). However, if the film can show some of the invention of some of the better horror-comedies of the past, rather than current crop of mindless spoofs and flat, nasty remarks passing for humour, then this could be a good film. I guess I would feel more comfortable with a horror-comedy with Amber in it if she was in control of it, either as screenwriter or director (if not both). Tara & Willow Together Forever!!! Except to both being caught on film, "An American Werewolf in London" and date movie have noyhing to do with each other. Thank goodness that is the case.
When one is filming, one never knows what the finial product will look like. The producer, writer, or director only think that they have an idea. No one can blame the actors for the final product. COMMA |

One-Eyed Monster sounds like it might be a sequel to a very funny film directed by Tom Hodges, starring Jim Leary, Kirk Pynchon, Rom Jeremy, Lou Diamond Philips..... which was shown at the first Moonlight Rising convention....
